Design idea
The project, with a height of 233.7 meters, is located on the lot A6, Hubei urban coordination area of Luohu, Shenzhen. The main functions are government offices, government relocation housing, commercial space and rebuilt-to-return hotels.Luohu in Shenzhen is one of the significant origins of the development of China’s modern commerce and trade industry. The “Shenzhen Market” in Hubei is the root of Shenzhen! We design “a Tower of Pixels”, which is an interplay of tradition and modernity, by using a pixelated approach to integrate 3 things: the “gray” representing historical buildings of Hubei, the “red” representing Chinese politics and culture, and contemporary technological symbols. The project would be a spiritual landmark of the new era, presenting a new image of the cultural Luohu, the dynamic Luohu, and the technological Luohu! Basing on lattice façades, the two unified super-high-rise buildings incorporate subtle colors and details, signifying a pluralistic era of weaving, interaction and networking. The project, in a stable and classic way, reflects the development concept of Luohu District, which is “seeking innovation and changes”.
