Design idea
Wanshili is China's most famous silk enterprise and a national brand that is marching towards the international stage.Our design maximized the use of this irregular-shaped land and dismantled the building into three volumes: a headquarter building, an apartment and an office for rent, which were built in two phases to meet the owner's requirement to increase the floor area ratio from 2.5 to 4.0 in the future.Meanwhile, to fully express the characteristics of this Chinese culture and creation enterprise, we extracted the weaving form of Chinese silk woven techniques, and interpreted it as a delicate curtain wall system, which varies slightly to adapt to the different functions of apartments and offices.The arched entrance hall was designed to link the architectural traditions of the East and the West, showing a noble and elegant temperament that responds to the silk brand image.
